Happy Holidays to the Pantera Family,

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  We are all so blessed and  have so much to be thankful for.  Our girls are so lucky to be healthy and be able to participate with such a special team of girls and such a wonderful leader.  (If you haven't already heard, Mrs. Cardwell is one of four finalists for best director in the State of Texas).

Thanks to Mika Simpson, Cathy Williams, and all of the people on their committees for our most successful Dinner/Auction ever!!!  We will have the final totals at our January meeting.  Everyone I talked to had a great time and the night could not have run more smoothly.  Thanks also to Joyce Mohler for doing an outstanding job with the Poinsettia sales.  ( Don't forget to pick up your flowers this Saturday ).
Thanks also to Cathy Williams for spending the Saturday before Thanksgiving at Albertson's signing up people to our account.  She and the girls signed up over 100 people in just a few hours.  If you want a form to have your friends and family register their cards so that Albertson's donates to the Panteras,  just call or email me and I will get you the info.

Don't forget that the Board voted to cancel the December meeting as a Holiday Gift to our families, a paw point for attendance will be given to each family.

I look forward to seeing EVERYONE at our January meeting.  We will be busy discussing Spring Fling and Contest Season.  Don't miss out on lots of important information.

I'm sure you all heard about the sudden death of Brandon "Juicy" Fails, please keep his family in your prayers.

Greetings from Cardwell's Corner!

Dear Pantera Family:

I hope that everyone had a wonderful and restful Thanksgiving Holiday! And, I hope you caught a glimpse of our senior officers at the New York Macey's Thanksgiving Day Parade.  They did an awesome job and had a terrific time.

As you know, we are back and working diligently in preparation for competition season.  Lyrical auditions will be held on Thursday December 5, and we will march in the Grapevine Christmas Parade that evening.  Parade information will be sent home on Tuesday December 3.

Just a reminder that our third trip payment is due on Monday December 9 at the beginning of practice.  It is very difficult to keep up with everything if the money is coming in on different dates and times.  Please let me know in advance if there is a problem with the date and time.  Please remember to make checks payable to the Pantera Booster Club.

Add the following practice date to your calendar if you are a dance officer or a member of the elite team.    Friday December 20 Elite from 1:15 - 3:00 pm.  Saturday January 4:  Officers from 9 am - 12 noon, Elite from 1 - 4 pm.

The Panteras will be bringing home information on basketball season before the break.  Remember that our first game is Tuesday January 7.  The whole team will cheer at the 8:00 game.  For the next few weeks company A, B and C will perform.  This is nice because the whole team does not have to attend all of the basketball games.

Please remember that January and February are difficult months for the Panteras.  Please stay on top of homework and grades.  Prioritize and organize your calendar so that you can fit everything in (i.e. don't put projects off until the last minute, etc.).

Merry Christmas!  Enjoy the spirit of the season!

Sincerely,

Kim Cardwell

Reminder to everyone that a trip payment for $ 80.00 is due this coming Monday, Dec. 9th.  Please make your checks out to the Pantera Booster Club.  If you are signed up to be a chaperone you need to send in $ 80.00 for yourself also.   If you have any questions either call or email Mrs. Cardwell.

Thanks,
Nancy Maddox

Uniform Collection

The girls received a hand out on Tuesday about returning the uniforms on Monday, December 9th.  Since the uniforms are school property, they must be returned in good condition, clean, and on hangers.  If any items need to be replaced you will be expected to pay for those items before Christmas break.  Each girl should have 11 different items: red sleeves, fringe shirt, skirt, trunks, belt, fringe gauntlets, leather gauntlets, jacket, scarf, short sleeve shirt, and rain coat.  A few girls have extra items because of the size or condition of the original issue.  All items that were issued in your daughter’s name must be returned on Monday.

If you have any questions, please call me at 817-540-1325.

Thank you,

Anne Langholz

Pantera Pride

You have probably heard the rumors and they are true!  Dr. Bradford O’Neill D.D.S has offered to whiten the teeth of the Senior Panteras at no charge…it is FREE!

Additionally, Dr. O’Neill is going to offer certificates for the Panteras to sell to individuals or family members for a complete teeth-whitening package.  The cost of each certificate will be 200 dollars and the checks will be written to the Pantera Booster Club.  The bonus for us is that because the Booster Club is not providing the service this will be considered a tax-deductible contribution to our organization.  The 200 dollars will be given as a total donation to the Panteras.  We will offer these certificates and promote them before and during our Spring Fling.

So, please put out the word to friends and family that the Panteras will be selling these certificates from a reputable and well-known dentist in our area, at an incredible savings and that it will be completely tax deductible! WOW!  There will be an expiration date, set six months from issuance, but there is no limit to the number of certificates that we can sell.  We will offer more details as we draw closer to our Spring Fling extravaganza.

For the Senior Panteras, you will need to contact Dr. O’Neill’s office over the Christmas break.  The receptionist will have a list of names and will be expecting your call.  When you go into his office you will be fitted for the teeth-whitening mold.  It takes a few days to form the mold and two weeks to begin to see the results of the whitening process.

Sometime before Spring Fling, the Senior Panteras will have an opportunity to flash these beautiful teeth as they pose for a photo that will be displayed in Dr. O’Neill’s office and at our event to promote the fundraiser.

We are very pleased with this wonderful Christmas gift to our senior girls and the generosity that Dr. O’Neill is extending to the entire Pantera Family!  We anticipate this offer being a very profitable and easy fundraiser for our Booster Club.   Please let him know how much we appreciate his support and professional services!

Directions

Dr. O’Neill’s office is located at 5200 Colleyville Blvd. #E in Colleyville.  From Hall-Johnson you turn left onto Grapevine Highway.  The office is located about a mile down the road on the right hand side in a small strip shopping center.

Please call for your appointment:  817.788.0166

For more info please contact Cathy Williams or Mika Simpson.
